Being born on one continent and growing up on another gives you a different kind of outlook.
After my stint as a Navy Brat, I grew up in a small town in northern Maryland. Growing up in the country was a fantastic experience. I worked on a farm, had a horse, was the president of my 4-H club.
All of that changed when I went to college and ended up living just outside Washington, DC. It's really different living in a city of 200,000 when you grew up in a town of 7,000!
Reading romance is one of my favorite things to do. After a while my own characters starting showing up and trying to get their stories told. So I joined the Washington Romance Writers, took a bunch of online classes with
savvyauthors, and found a group of writer buddies who provided endless support, feedback, and the occasional kick in the pants when needed.
Now my contemporary romance
Running Hot is represented by
Rachel Brooks of the L. Perkins Agency and I have a hockey romance in revisions. Two more books are plotted and one is slated to get fast drafted in NaNoWriMo.
I am so excited to see where Cole and Lara's story goes and the stories of their friends and neighbors. Glad you can join me on the journey.
