When I started writing Encore I found myself surfing the 'Net looking at pictures of Truro, Porthcurno, and Penzance. After a while I realized that my hero was a Cornishman. He is named Ethan Marrek.
Cornwall is one of the most beautiful places I've been. There are so many things to do and see.
Like pre-historic artifacts? Forget about Stonehenge--go see The Merry Maidens or the Men-an-tol. Cornwall has lots of standing stones and (unlike Stonehenge) you can get up close and personal with many of them.
Cornwall also has Tintagel Castle where the Arthurian legends began, and St. Michael's Mount. Walk the causeway at low tide and take a boat back to the mainland at high tide.
There's also a revival of the traditional Cornish language (which is related to Welsh). In another post I will tell you Ethan's favorite phrases and links to places you can hear it spoken.
